I designed the mechanism, control software, and App to regulate a wood-burning stove in my home.
Link to Build Details, Designs, and Code on InstructablesI completely designed the mechanical and electrical designs and built and manufactured it myself. I also developed the software to work with the motor controller
Github Code RespositoryI developed the design, electronics, and software to allow this to balance on two wheels and navigate autonomously while avoiding obstacles on the Arduino (C++) platform using magnetic odometry, laser range finding, and a 9-Axis IMU. A Teensy 4.1 is used as the main microcontroller and interfaces with an Orange Pi Zero 2W running Ubuntu.
Github Code RespositoryI designed a PCB to breakout all the connections to the Teensy 4.1.
I designed the articulating 4-bar linkage and rotation axis to control the position of a solar panel mounted to the roof of my camper van. An arduino along with two motors, photoelectric sensors, potentiometers, and switches are used to autonomously track the position of the sun and orient the panel perpendicular to the sun's rays to maximize output power. I also created a wireless remote to be able to control the mode and to retract the panel for traveling. I've been using it for 2 years.
Github Code RespositoryI designed and had custom PCBs made for this project.
Below is the custom 3D printed remote I designed and built for the solar tracker.
